Former Oswego Lady Dead.
Mrs. Armina Simpson Parks, who died at her home in Vilonia, Ark., on Oct. 6, will be remembered by many of the older residents of this city as having formerly made this her home. She was married at Lincoln, Kan., in 1890 to Mr. Sam Parks, and they moved to Oswego in 1895 and lived here sixteen years, moving to Vilonia in 1912. Death was caused from an attack of influenza, and three days after her death her daughter-in-law, Mrs. John S. Parks, of the same place, died of the same disease. Mrs. Parks was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church of this city for twenty years, and she was esteemed here as a fine Christian woman. She was born at Ottumwa, Iowa, August 22, 1868, and leaves to mourn her husband and five children, Mrs. John L. Cannard, of Labette, Kan., John S. Parks, Earl Parks, Paul and Bertha, all of Vilonia. She was ill only four days. The daughter-in-law leaves also two small children and her husband. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Roberts of the Baptist church there.
