Biography
When Rachel Jane Sims was born on September 7, 1840, in South Carolina, her father, Edward, was 28 and her mother, Martha, was 19. She married Andrew L. Lowrimore and they had five children together. She also had one son with Hiram W. Lovelady. She died on January 7, 1907, in Nauvoo, Alabama, at the age of 66.
She married William Dodd on 2 Jun 1889 at Nauvoo, Walker, Alabama, United States. Dodd refused to attend stepson, Hiram Lovelady, Jr.'s funeral, thus leading to divorce on Oct 1892 at Winston County, Alabama (per an Ancestry tree). The William Dodd she is attached to at Findagrave was already dead when she married a Dodd.
