Alva Bell Sims was born on 03 Jul 1876 in Ebenezer, Greene, Missouri, USA[1] (near Springfield Missouri) as the first child of Dotson Adam Sims and Harriet Isabelle Robberson. She had seven or eight siblings, namely: Eliza (Lydie) Ellen, George Dotson, Jessie May, Susan Pearl, Rufus, Willis Fletcher Robberson, Robert Dotson. She died on 30 Dec 1953 in Dunnegan, Polk County, Missouri, USA, aged 77[2]. When she was 23, she married Truman Daniel Chalker[3] , son of Warren Charles Chalker and Jerusha Orinda Viets, on 21 May 1900 in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma, USA.
Alva Bell Sims grew up on the Roberson Prairie in Missouri[4]. After their marriage, she and Truman lived in Fountain, Oklahoma Territory, USA[5]. They moved to Franklin, Portage county, Ohio by 1910[6] but then went west again to Independence, Montgomery, Kansas, USA where they lived on West Locust[7]. Later they moved to South Thirteeth Street. During the depression they moved to Campbell Township, Campbell, Polk, Missouri, USA[8]. She was buried on 03 Jan 1954 in Dunnegan, Polk County, Missouri, USA[9].
