Biography

He is noticed in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade when he is contracted in marriage, 28 May 1729, to Anne Nicolson, stated to a young woman of Breda.

He is mentioned as being a soldier in Captain Mackay's company.

Witness to the contract to marriage were Nathaniel Morison and John Barns, stated to be of Captain Mackay's company. It seems likely they were Corporals.
