Biography
Henry Singleton MP is Notable.
Henry Singleton was born in Drogheda, County of the Town of Drogheda in 1682. He was the son of Edward Singleton and Catherine Newton.
Henry graduated from Trinity College Dublin, entered the Inner Temple, and was called to the bar in 1707. He served as Recorder of Drogheda starting in 1708, as Member of the Parliament of Ireland for Drogheda from 1713 to 1741, as Prime serjeant-at-law from 1726, as Chief Justice of the Common Pleas for Ireland from 1740 to 1753, and Master of the Rolls in Ireland from 1754 until his death.
Henry died in Drogheda in November 1759, and was buried in St. Peters Church of Ireland, Drogheda.[1]
