Note NI603593073David I. Sirman Sr. -- David I. Sirman Sr., 77, of Laurel, passed away on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood. David was born on Aug. 5, 1938 in Laurel, the son of the late Isaac Earl Sirman and Sarah Catherine Sirman. David proudly served his country in the National Guard. He retired with 50 years of service from Tull Brothers, Inc. (1960-1992), later becoming Hoobers, Inc. (1992-2010). He truly enjoyed working on International equipment. David was a member of the Laurel Ruritan and a lifelong member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1728 in Seaford for 37 years, where he was a trustee and on the ritual team. David was an accomplished bowler and a member of the Lower Delaware Bowling Association serving as past director. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. Tony Stewart and Casey Kane were his favorite drivers. He also enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins football team, and camping with his family. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather. David is survived by his son, David I. Sirman Jr. (Bunky) and his wife Ruthann of Laurel; his daughter, Donna Adkins and her husband Greg of Laurel; his grandchildren, Brock Adkins and his wife Rachel of Seaford who are expecting a son (David�s great-grandson), David I. Sirman III of Salisbury, and Kaitie A. Sirman of Laurel. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Travis G. Sirman (2011), and his sister, Hilda Pusey (2013). A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, at Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, where a viewing will be held from noon to 2 p.m. The Rev. John Vantine will officiate. The Seaford Moose Lodge will also conduct a service at 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel. Contributions may be made in David�s memory to Seaford Moose Lodge #1728, 22759 Bridgeville Hwy., Seaford, DE 19973.
