Sir Vincent Skinner or Skynner of Thornton College, Lincs., Lincoln's Inn & Blackfriars, London (b. 1543 - d. 28 Feb 1616; bur. St. Andrew's Holburn), was the only son of:[1]

  • John Skinner, mercer, of Thorpe by Wainfleet, Lincs.,[1]
  • and Elizabeth, dau. of John Fairfax of Swarby, Lincs.[1]

He served as MP for Truro, Barnstaple, Boston, Boroughbridge, St. Ives and Preston.[1] He was also Constable of Bolingbroke Castle and Lincoln Castle in 1583.[2]

Marriage

Vincent married twice.

Ogle

Audrey Ogle (d. aft. Sep 1582), wid. of Jan Man, MP (d. Jun 1569),[1][3] at Old Bolingbroke in Lincolnshire on 16 January 1569/70 - just seven months after the death of Audrey's first husband John Man.

Vincent and Audrey had no children.[1]

Vincent remarried to Elizabeth Fowkes (bur. 16 Dec 1633), wid. of [. . .] Midlemore.[4]

Vincent was buried on 29 February 1615/6 at St Andrew Holborn - "Sir Vincent Skiner, knight out of Isack Bringhurst's house in High Holborn being a prison"
