Biography

Ebenezer was born about 1710. Based on his appointment as Constable in 1736, this would put him at 25 years old at that time.^[1] His parents were William Slade and Frances Sylvester.

Ebenzer and Henry Slade, the youngest two children of William. These are both named as grandsons in the 1728 will of her father Richard Silvester.^[2]

He married Agnes McNaire in about 1739. He settled on Roanoke River in Martin County, North Carolina and with Agnes had four sons and three daughters. Ebenezer Slade of Martin County was certified as an elected representative of Terrelll County.^[3]

He died in March 1788 in Martin, North Carolina, USA, at the age of 73.
