Mildred was born in 1867. She is the daughter of Henry Slayton and Laura Hathaway. ^[1]

Research Notes

It appears from the history compiled by Asa Slayton cited above that this couple had three children who survived youth, but this is unclear because Asa died in 1907. The children alive when Asa published are: Belle, Inez Hazel, and Virgil Andrew Murray, this last male being the third child to be so named, and born after the reported death of his father Daniel.
