Fanny was born about 1781. She had two daughters before marrying Noah Tryon in 1805 and having another daughter with him. Noah died in 1807 and she remarried to Elijah Tryon in 1808. They appear to have had children, based on the 1810 and 1820 census, but none recorded.
She is buried in Still Hill Cemetery where many Tryons are buried. She is in a grouping with husband Noah Tryon, mother-in-law Penelope Tryon, Noah's brother David Tryon, and niece Caroline Tryon. Headstone inscription "wife of Noah" with no mention of second husband Elijah.
She had daughters Lucinda Smith, 23 Apr 1803, and Penelope Smith, 4 Feb 1805, prior to her marriage to Noah [1]. There is no mention of a husband in the birth records so I assume they were born out of wedlock. Were they Noah's children?
Her husband, Noah, died in 1807. In 1808 she married Elijah Tryon [2]. There are a few Elijah Tryons in the area who have been linked to this marriage but only one actually fits and that is Elijah Tryon (abt.1786-). She did not marry Elijah Tryon who was about 10 years older and lived in Philadelphia from 1811-1822. She did not marry Elijah Tryon who lived in Massachusetts at the time.
She and Elijah are found in the 1810 and 1820 census records of Glastonbury, living adjacent to Noah's brother Elizur and near or adjacent to Elijah's father Thomas.
The female is the right age range for Fanny, the oldest male is right for Elijah, and the rest of the children are about right, though there are some extras.
In the 1830 census Fanny is head of household, with 2m5-10, 1m15-20, 1f5-10, 1f20-30, and she is 40-50. Likely the woman is Polly who's husband died in 1828 and who remarried in Nov 1830. One of the 5-10 year old males would be Polly's son. Not sure who the others are. Neighbors are Noah's brother Elizur and his sons.
Elijah Tryon is also found in the 1830 Glastonbury census but not near Fanny and Elizur (page 216 for Elijah and 227 for Elizur and Fanny).
Given the nine other people living with him, it looks like he could be living with a younger extended family. The only other Tryon on that page is Nathaniel and his son Harvey, about 10 entries earlier, and that could be unrelated to any of this. He may also be the wrong Elijah.
