Biography

Thomas Lapham (Solomon, Nicholas, John) b. 1761; married Thankful Smith at Glocester, R. I. 15 June 1783, She was born 11 Jan 1763, the daughter of John and Sarah Smith of Glocester. John Smith was a son of Benjamin and Mary (Winsor) Smith, and a brother of Benjamin Smith, Jr., who married Rebecca Lapham, sister of Thomas, who lived at Scipio, N. Y.^[1]

Mary Winsor (Joshua, Mercy Williams, Roger) was born 18 Dec 1718 at Smithfield, RI; she married Benjamin Smith 7 Nov 1738 at Glocester, RI; she died 1803. Children of Mary Winsor and Benjamin Smith were as follows:

i. John Smith was born 14 Feb 1740; he married Sarah Winsor, daughter of John Winsor and Mercy Smith; he died 1798....

iv. Benjamin Smith married Rebecca Lapham; he died 1781. "^[2]
