Smith, 71, died Friday at his home near Purdy He was born and lived all his life on the same farm. For over 40 years he was an active member of the Belinda Christian Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Brenaman of Melcher, Ia., and Mrs. Hazel Hartley, at home; one brother, Martin Smith of Oakley, California and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Cain of Williamson and Mrs Fannie Graves of Ottawa, Kansas. Funeral Services were held at Newbern Monday at 2 pm conducted by Warren Hile of Perry, Ia., and M.K. Belanger of Waukee, Ia. Burial was in the Newbern Cemetery. Died June 19, 1936, buried June 22, 1936
