One of the residents of Blisland Parish who signed the 1677 "Blisland Complaint" was named George Smith[1] - probably this George Smith, whose profile says he was born and died in New Kent (1654-1691). The profile for one of his daughter's shows she was born in St. Peter's Parish.
Blisland Parish served New Kent County from its formation in 1654 and had served York County prior to that (from which New Kent County was formed).[2] The page with this transcription of the complaint says "Chamberlayne notes that 21 of the 88 men who signed were later listed as processioners in St. Peter's Parish".[1]
