On the 11 August 1889, Esrael married William Charles HALE in Christ Church, Lambeth, Surrey, England, United Kingdom. The couple were single and lived in 77, Hercules Buildings. Esrael's father George was a tin-plate worker. William's father Adolphus, was a jeweller. The witnesses were Fanny LAWN and Annie HOLLOWBREAD. [5] Fanny was Esrael's sister, Frances Selina SMITH wife of Arthur George Skinner LAWN.

In 1891, Esrael was living with her husband Charles, sister Nellie and a young boy called Willie Hales, in Oxenden Street in Saint Martin in the Fields, London, England [6]. He was the son of Esrael's husband, but his age indicates the boy was born before his parents marriage in 1889. More evidence is needed to determine whether he was Esrael's son.
