I found a site for Houston, County Ga.marriage records 1820-1852 there is a marriage between a Joel Smith and an Elizabeth Lane 22 Dec 1844. is this possibly the one as I found a civil war pension dated in 1864 for Joel in the Tenn Inf for his widow Elizabeth?
