Biography

Bernard was born about 1875. He was the son of Sarah Jane & Charles Smith. He had sisters named Minnie May Smith and Caroline Smith, and a niece (named in his will).

Bernard was the proprietor of the Delta Hotel in Ngaruawahia. He married Isabella McKay (a widow), in 1907, but she passed away in 1915.

He passed away in 1948.
