Research Notes

The death registration DOB is 10 July 1911. But it was fairly common for this to be off by one from the birth registration; and there is a married couple William+Ada in the same 1938 electoral roll as Gordon, at Palmerston North.

The parents might be William "Brum" Smith and Ada Spencer. According to ancestry-com public member trees, Brum (1874-1961) and Ada (1881-1958) of Palmerston North. Unfortunately no supporting documents were uploaded to help with reliably identifying records for the hundreds of William Smith out there!
