His World War II draft registration card in 1942 said he was born 15 July 1888, gave his middle name as Harrison, and said that he was residing in Hartford, Connecticut. His contact person was his younger brother, Dwight J. Smith.[2]
Benjamin died 16 February 1956 at the age of 67 according to the Southington, Connecticut city directory of 1957.[3]
