Enoch Smith, son of Ralph and Mary (Mayo) Smith was born in Eastham on 10 November 1725. He married Ruth Goodrich in Middletown on 5 October 1753.[1]
This Enoch is NOT the Capt. Enoch Smith who was buried in Hog Hill Cemetery East Hampton, Middlesex County, Connecticut. That Enoch wasn't born until 1746, which is more than twenty years after this Enoch was born and also four years after Mary (Mayo) Smith died. Many online trees have conflated the two men.
