He was educated at Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge.[2]
On the 13th October 1791 at St Mary Marylebone he married Emma Vernon.[3][4]
William passed away in 1793 in Fulham, Middlesex, England. His will, written 5 July 1792, proved 7 Nov 1793, mentions the "children of Richard Lovell Edgeworth by my sister Elizabeth." and also his wife Emma.[5]
