She lived in rural Jefferson County from 1903 until 1945 and in Fairfield from 1945 to 1976, when she moved to Robert Lee. She had been a teacher, office worker and homemaker, and had worked at Harper Brush and the Jefferson County Auditor's Office. She was a member of Salina Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Robert Lee Stamp Club, Genealogy Society, and had been a Red Cross and an RSVP volunteer.
Surviving are two sons, Charles E. of Waco, Texas, Paul of Billings, Mont; a daughter, Kathryn LACKEY of Robert Lee; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A brother, Ernest SNOOK, and a sister, Amy SNOOK, preceded her in death."[4]
Note
Discrepancy in her dob. Need to view original birth record to verify 1903 or 1904. There is no date on the headstone but obit gives 1903. Social Security gives 1903 but Iowa birth record gives 1904 (however this is a typed version with many amendments causing interpretation issues).
