Biography

William was born in 1860 in New York City. His full name was William Benham Snow and he was the son of Newel C. Snow and his wife, Nancy (Benham) Snow. He could trace his Snow ancestry back to immigrant Nicholas Snow, who arrived at Plymouth colony in 1623 on the ship "Anne" and who married Constance Hopkins, a passenger on the "Mayflower" from England to Plymouth, in 1620.

In about 1885 William Snow married Adeline Melvina Smith, b: 1863 in New York. They had the following children:

  1. Lucy M. SNOW b: 1887 in New York
  2. Thomas B. SNOW b: 1888 in New York
  3. Minnie H. SNOW b: 1890 in New York
  4. Mabel SNOW b: 1892 in New York
  5. William B. SNOW II b: 1895 in New York
  6. Mary B. A. SNOW b: 1902 in New York

In the 1910 US Census both William B. and Adeline Melvina (Smith) Snow were listed as "Physicians, in General Practice," in Manhattan, New York, USA.

William B. Snow Sr., died in 1930, presumably in New York City.
