Jane Archibald Snow was the daughter of Captain Ambrose Snow and Fanny (Campbell) Snow.[1] Born on January 14, 1790, in Steuben, Washington, Maine District, Massachusetts, USA, she married Francis Cobb,[1][2] in Portland Maine. Jane and Francis had five children: Mary[2] Ambrose,[2] Betsey,[2] Edward[2] and Francis.[1][2][3]
After her first husband's death on Nov. 20, 1817, while in Boston, Massachusetts, widow Jane (Snow) Cobb remarried in 1831 to widower, Israel Dinsmore, b: 23 Jun 1788 in Harrington, Washington, Maine Dist., Massachusetts. They had no children together. He died on July 29, 1849 in Thomaston, Lincoln (became Knox in 1860) County, Maine.
Jane (Snow) (Cobb) Dinsmore died on October 12, 1882, at her home in Thomaston, Knox County, Maine, USA. She is buried as "Jane Dinsmore" in the Thomaston Village Cemetery, Thomaston, Knox County, Maine, USA [5][6]
