Don (Soule) Sowle was born in Indiana.

Donald P. Sowle was born 10 Sep 1891 in Angola, Steuben, Indiana. He was the son of Oscar D. Sowle and Clementine Bidwell. ^[1]

In 1900 census Donald P. Sowle (age 9) is living in Bethel Township, Branch, Michigan with his parents Oscar D. Sowle (age 40) and Clemmie Sowle (age 28), his sister Hazel (age 10) and Clemmie's father Loren Bidwell (age 55).

In 1910 Donald P. Sowle (age 9) is living in Bethel Township, Branch, Michigan with his parents Oscar D. Sowle (age 50) and Clemmie Sowle (age 38), his sister Mable (age 9). Oscar and Don were born in Indiana. Clemmie was born in Pennsylvania. Mable was born in Michigan. Oscar is a farmer. Don and Mable are attending school. ^[3]

On May 27, 1915, Bernice Kelly married Donald P. Sowle in Sandusky, Sanilac County, Michigan. He was a 23 year old clerk living in Sandusky at the time while she was 21 years old, also from Sandusky. Edgar G Kelly and his future wife Ethel English of Croswell were their witnesses.^[4]

1920 U.S. Census Donald Sowle (age 27) and his wife Bernice (age 2t) are renting their home at 512 Hill Street in Saginaw, Michigan with their children Robert (age 3 ) and Rex (age 1). Donald and Bernice can read/write. Donald was born in Indiana. Bernice and the children were born in Michigan. Donald is the manager of a grain elevator. ^[5]

1930 U.S. Census Donald Sowle (age 38) and his wife Bernice (age 36) are living in Saginaw, Michigan with their children Robert (age 14 ) and Rex (age 11). Also in the home is Bernice's father Freeman Kelly (age 68).^[6]

1940 U.S. Census Donald Sowle (age 48) and his wife Bernice (age 46) are living in Flint, Genesee, Michigan with their children Robert (age 24) and Rex (age 21). It is the same place as in 1935. They rent their home for $45/month. Donald was born in Indiana. The others were all born in Michigan. Donald is a buyer for a grain elevator. Robert is a caretaker at a hatchery. Rex is a bookkeeper at a commercial bank.^[7]

Donald P. Sowle died at age 53 on 9 Feb 1945 in Flint, Genesee, Michigan. ^{[8] [9]}

He is buried in Gracelawn Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. ^[10]
