Nellie was born 11 Mar 1892 at Pickens, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, the daughter of Thomas Spain and Elizabeth Cantrell. Nellie passed away 25 Aug 1962 at Duncan, Stephens, Oklahoma. She is buried at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, Stephens County, Oklahoma.^[2]
