Biography
Persis was born estimated 1736 and married her first cousin Abijah Spaulding. She did not marry Daniel Shead as suggested in the Spaulding Addenda as that Daniel was born about 1765. the marriage occurring in 1784.
The Spaulding Memorial has errors in terms of Persis's lineage, but that volume does identify that she married a first cousin, most likely Abijah born in 1736.[1]
