We have used autosomal DNA and mitochondrial DNA to prove that Katherine Spears is a fictional ancestor created by several false assumptions. She did not exist. She is not the first wife of John Williams, and the children of the first wife belong to Frances Lane, daughter of Corbin Lane and Frances "Fanny" Prock. The mtDNA evidence proves this.
