Obituary (unknown source) "Died 17 Oct 1986 Alvis L. Sperry Alvis L. Sper ry, age 71, died Friday at his home, 1620 Webster. He retired in 1980 fr om Hoover Oil Company. Surviving are a sister, Leta Corf, Tina; broth er and sister-in-law, Richard and Velma Sperry, Chillicothe, and several n ieces and nephews. Born March 5, 1915, he was a son of Roy and Edith Kn ox Sperry. On March 30, 1935, he married Esther Marie Biggs. They farm ed in the Tina community before moving to Chillicothe in 1966. Funeral se rvices will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdan at the chapel of the Lindley Funeral H ome. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ch illicothe First Christian Church. There is no scheduled visitation. Frien ds may call at the funeral home until service time. Mr. Sperry was precee ded in death by his parents, wife, an infant daughter, two brothers a nd a sister."
