Private Abraham Spoor served with Colonel Ashley's Regiment, Massachusetts Line during the American Revolution.
Abraham was a private in the Revolutionary War. He served in the Continental Army for nine months in 1778.[10]
Confusion over Parents
The "Spoor Family in America" states that the Abraham who married Rebecca Betts was the son of Issac Spoor and Claertje Brasie. In Abraham's Revolutionary War pension papers, it definitely states his father was John Spoor, that he served under his father, Captain John Spoor, and that he was born 12 May 1760 to John Spoor and his wife Cornelia. Perhaps that Abraham should be merged with this Abraham?
