Biography
George was born in 1870. [1]
Margaret Heath and George Hay Spriggs were married in 1902 [2], and had the following children:
- James Henry Spriggs (1902-1996)
- Thomas Hay Spriggs (1903-1977)
- William Hay Spriggs (1904-1955)
- Charles Hay Spriggs (1905-1971)
- George Hay Spriggs (1907-1984)
- Mary Hay (Spriggs) Smith (1908-1990)
- John Hay Spriggs (1909-1979)
- Margaret Heath Spriggs (1911-abt.1912)
- Margaret Ruth Manu [3].
George and his family lived at Morven for a while before moving to the Southland area in NZ. In 1904 George sold 104 acres of land at Morven to a John Wellwood.
George died on the 24th of May 1921 in Invercargill New Zealand [4], and was buried at Eastern Cemetery in Invercargill, New Zealand [5].
