Biography
Mercy Amelia Spring was born on 28 February 1761 in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, the daughter of Mercy Spring and Converse Spring.[1][2]
She married Abijah Bigelow on 30 November 1780.[2] Their children were:[2]
- Nabby Bigelow (1781–1802)
- Sally Bigelow (1783–1826)
- Marshall Spring Bigelow (1785–1847)
- Zibiah Bigelow (1787–1881)
- Jacob S Bigelow (1790–1864)
- Abijah Bigelow (1792–1854)
- Lucy Bigelow (1797–1890)
- Increase Sumner Bigelow (1800–1804)
- Increase S Bigelow (1805–1881)
Mercy died on 20 August 1846 in La Porte County, Indiana.[2][3] Her remains were interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City, La Porte County.[2]
