Biography

Louise (St.Denis) Pelletier was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.

Lizette (Louise) St. Denis was born on 13 Feb 1830 to Francois St. Denis and Sophie Lyons. Baptism took place at St. Boniface on 28 Feb 1830, with Antoine Dupuis and Marguerite Allary named as godparents.[1]

Lizette married Joseph Pelletier at Assumption, Pembina on 22 Sep 1851.[2]

On 17 Sep 1879, Lizette signed an affidavit claiming Métis scrip.[3]

At the time of the 1901 census, Lizette and Joseph were residing in Assiniboia with their youngest son.[4]
