Biography
Arthur Charles Stanhope of Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts was baptised in April 1715, the son of Reverend Michael Stanhope and Penelope Lovell. He m. (1) Mary Thornhaugh (bur. sp. 18 Mar 1748), dau. of St Andrew Thornhaugh, of Osberton, co. Nottingham (2) Margaret Headlam, daughter of Charles Headlam, on 25 August 1750 and (3) Frances Board on 2 March 1767. He was buried on 9 March 1770.
