The following is mostly information that came from one of the original profiles along with an attempt to verify that information. So far there have been no records identified to connect this William Stanberry with the parents: William Stanberry (1770-1834) and Margaret Nancy Thompson (1776-1830). -- Fiscus-32 15:29, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
I discovered that one of the profiles for John William (a.k.a. Willis) was attached as his father. That connection has been corrected, and I'm working on sorting out the other details. -- Fiscus-32 17:47, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
Residences
1840 Coles County, Illinois. William "Stansburry," between the ages of 30 and 40 and has one male child, one female child, and what appears to be a teenager in his household, as well as a woman presumed to be his wife.[1] Given the birth dates of his children, and the fact that the family is found in Coles County in later census listings, this is almost certainly the correct listing.
He is listed in Hutton Township, Coles County, Illinois with the name "Willis" in the 1870 Census. All of the family members listed match up with those attached to this profile.[5] Also, there is a child named Nancy listed in the 1870 Census listing who appears to be a granddaughter, but it's not clear which of their sons is her father.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Willis by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Willis:
Stanberry-94 and Stanberry-6 appear to represent the same person because: The birth date is off; however, the information in the bio for Stanberry-6 indicates that his birthdate may have been as late as 1808 as indicated in Stanberry-94.
Stanberry-126 and Stanberry-94 do not represent the same person because: There is a profile w/ a smaller-numbered ID that these two should be merged into: Stanberry-6
After reviewing the merge proposed on 16 Jun 2019, it appears that this profile has another duplicate profile for John Will Stanberry connected as the father.
I'm going to disconnect that relationship and propose new merges since we now appear to have 3 profiles for the same person.
Stanberry-126 and Stanberry-94 appear to represent the same person because: Started building this family off of their son Marion and based on the 1860 Census (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MX4V-6J2). The parents didn't come up as a match when I created their profiles. I'll be proposing a merge on Nancy, as well. I think I have her maiden name entered incorrectly.
I'm going to disconnect that relationship and propose new merges since we now appear to have 3 profiles for the same person.
