In about 1779, the Cornish artist John Opie, R.A. painted Mrs. George Pender Scobell holding her second child John in her arms. It is described as being an exceedingly pretty picture. The last known owner and location of the painting is Nancealverne House, Penzance, Cornwall.
Per the Cornwall OPC database, Elizabeth is buried in the Sancreed parish churchyard, St. Sancredus. Within the church there are two marble tablets memorializing two of her sons; Captain Edward Scobell and Thomas Scobell. [1]
