Note: The Stahring name is well known in the early families of Herkimer county, New York. His father may be the point that a family name change occurred and Benjamin's family name evolved through different permutations over time: Stahring, Starring, Staring, and Starling. Born Benjamin Stahring, he married Barbara Elisabeth Klock. They were the first buried with the headstone listing the last name as STARLING. Benjamin's parents were Conrad Stahring (1745–Deceased ) • LH9Q-N67 and Magdalena Lena Keller (1758–Deceased) • L8WY-4QZ and they married before 1779. Their children in FamilySearch have many duplicates, with name variations and they need to be merged. Benjamin's grandfather is Valentine Stahring (1722–1782) • LH9Q-N7J and Anna Elizabeth Mullerin (variations Muller, Miller) • LH9Q-NDD. [5]
