Biography

Mathew was born in 1796. He was the son of Hugh Steers and Mary Fowler. He married Polly Williams on 18 December 1820 in Gallatin County, Kentucky, and they had issue. In 1830, he was enumerated with a twenty to thirty year old female and 3 females under 5. He married Rachel Ann Bickel in 1838. He passed away in 1864.
