Susannah Stenning was born in about 1813 in Farncombe, Surrey. She was the daughter of John Stenning and Jemima Stenning. She was christened on 13 Jun 1813 at St Peter and St Paul's Church in Godalming, Surrey (Anglican). Her father's occupation was given in the christening record as blacksmith, and the family's address as Farncombe.
Susannah married Henry William Corner on 2 Sep 1843 in Westbourne, Sussex. Neither had been married before, and both were residing in Hermitage. He was 20 and a groom, she was 28 and a servant. Their fathers were Thomas Corner (gunsmith) and John Stenning (blacksmith). The witnesses were Henry Carruthers and Maria Carruthers.
Susannah died in 1889 at her home in Prospect Place, Long Ditton, Surrey, aged 75. She was described in the burial record as formerly of Sandy Road, Godalming. She was buried on 26 Jan 1889 in Nightingale Cemetery, Godalming, in the consecrated section.
Henry died in 1895 in Surbiton, aged 72. His occupation was given in the burial record as engineer. He was buried on 28 Sep 1895 with his wife.
