Moses was born in 1824. He is the son of Martin Stenton and Ann Rawson. He was christened on 24 November 1824 at All Saints Church, Darfield, Yorkshire.[1]
Moses married Ann Naylor in 1853 at Rotherham, Yorkshire. [2]
