Aaron Hubbard Stevens (AKA Stephens) was born in 1872, the son of David Nelson and Lydia M. (Hubbard) Stevens, in Bell County, Texas, where he was raised. Sometime before 1896 the family left Bell County and relocated to Falls County, Texas.
On July 28, 1896, Aaron married Amanda Honor Jackson, the daughter of Joseph Zachariah and Harriett Amanda (Austin) Jackson, in Falls County, Texas, where they initially made their home. Aaron and Honor had the following children:

Joel Zaron Stevens (1903–1985)
G. Z. Stevens (1904–after 1920)
Ethel Amada Noma (Stevens) Williford (1906–1993)
Oma Verdell (Stevens) Boldebuck (1914–2001)
In around 1905 the family moved to McLennan County, Texas, and then, in around 1912 they moved again to Comanche County, Texas, where they lived out their lives while farming.
Aaron lived to be 84 years old, passing away in 1956, while Honor lived until 1965 when she died at 83 years of age in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas, while staying with her son Joel and his family. Their bodies are buried together in the Mercers Gap Cemetery in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas.
