Amanda Stephnson was enumerated at Post Office Bowdon, Bowdon District, Carroll County, Georgia for the July 30, United States Census, 1860. She was noted as born 1853 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Jas P Stephnson, female Elizabeth Stephnson, female Elizabeth Stephnson, female Susan Stephnson, female Sarah J Stephnson, female Augusta Stephnson and female Lavina Stephnson.[1]

Amanda Stephenson was enumerated at Carroll County, Georgia for the July 16, United States Census, 1870. She is noted as born 1852-1853 in Georgia and at home as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male James Stephenson, female Elizabeth Stephenson and male John Stephenson.[2]

Amanda Stephenson wed Benjaim H. Brown November 19, 1870 in Carroll County, Georgia.[3]

Amanda Brown was enumerated as wife at Whitesburg, Carroll County, Georgia for the June 2, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born 1853 in Georgia and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Benj H Brown, daughter Elizabeth Brown, daughter Beatrice Brown and daughter Viola Brown.[4]

Amanda B Brown was enumerated as wife of the head of household in ED 76 Militia District 9 & 1559, Effingham County, Georgia for the June 12, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born June 1853 in Georgia and had been married for thirty years. She is shown to have had thirteen children of which eight were still living. Also included in the household are head Benj H Brown, daughter Clyde A Brown, daughter Ella Brown, son Jas M Brown, son Martin V Brown, son (daughter) Deseree Brown, daughter Elois Brown and son Stancil Brown as seen in an image of the original census.[5]

Amand Brown was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 5416 11 Avenue, Birmingham Ward 11, Jefferson County, Alabama for the April 23, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1853 in Georgia and had been married forty years. She was the mother of nine children of which eight were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Benjamin Brown, son Martin Brown, daughter Deserie Brown, daughter Lois Brown, granddaughter Maude Graham, son Stancil Brown and son Graham Brown.[6]

Amanda Brown was enumerated as mother-in-law of the head of household at 6526 First Avenue North, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama for the January 9, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1854 in Georgia and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Alex Lemon, Jr., wife Elois Lemon and son Alex Lemon.[7]

Amanda B Brown was enumerated as mother-in-law of the head of household at 8308 Fifth Avenue North, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama for the April 5, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1954 in Georgia and widowed as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Alexander Lemon, wife Elois Lemon, son Alexander Lemon and daughter Elois Lemon.[8]

Amanda Stephenson was listed as the mother of Elois Brown Lemon who died April 16, 1948 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. The father was listed as Benjamin Brown and the husband Alex Lemon Jr.[10]

Amanda Stevens was listed as the mother of Deseree Brown Klein who died August 13, 1955 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. The father was listed as Ben Brown.[11]

Amanda B. Stephens was listed as the mother of Martin V. Brown who died September 28, 1963 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. The father was listed as Benjamin Brown.[12]

Amanda B. Brown is buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama, USA.[13]
