She was noted as born 1853 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Amanda B. Stephens was listed as the mother of Martin V. Brown who died September 28, 1963 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. The father was listed as Benjamin Brown.^[12]
