William Stetson was was born in Norwich.

William Rawson Stetson was born in February, 1852 (or Jun 1853 [1])at Norwich, Connecticut. He was the 8th child and son of Calvin Stetson and Eliza Beebe. [2]

Married First (1): Isabella "Belle" Stewart, 30 Oct 1872 at New Haven, Connecticut. [3] (She dies in November, 1893)
