Biography

Richard was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He obtained a bachelor's degree in History from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, and a master's degree in Education from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Richard worked as a police officer from 1978-1994 before becoming a public school teacher.

One of his main interests is genetic genealogy. He has had his y-chromosome dna, mitochondrial dna, and autosomal dna tested.
