Biography

Elnathan Stevenson, son of Edward and Charity (Field) Stevenson, was born on Long Island May 6, 1694. From about 1709, he resided on a plantation in Burlington, New Jersery. About 1717, he married Sarah Cornell of Flushing, Long Island. Elnathan and Sarah Stevenson's children were: Thomas, b. June 14, 1719; Sarah, b. November 20, 1721; Charity, b. November 21, 1723; Cornell, b. February 10, 1725; Ann, b. July 11, 1727; Elnathan, b. June 24, 1729; Elizabeth, b. October 17, 1733; Edward, b. April 3, 1739; Benjamin, b. July 31, 1741. He died in Burlington in 1748.
