  2. ) Beebe Genealogy, Vol I; page 164: Vital data: Samuel Beebe (689) was born about 1751 at East Haddam, Connecticut, and he died 15 Feb 1775 at Wibraham, Hampden, Massachusetts at the age of 23.
    1. ) Marriage. Samuel Beebe married Sarah Beebe (233), daughter of Ezekiel Beebe and Hannah Rogers, on 31 July 1771. Sarah was born 25 July 1749 and she died 22 Jan 1809 at Wilbraham, Mass at the age of 60. She married second Joel Stebbins (b. 11 March 1752; d. 30 June 1800) on 15 Jan 1778 at Wilbraham, Mass. Joel Stebbins was the son of Aaron and Mary (Wright) Stebbins

  1. ) Lucius Beebe, etc.; page 48, 49: Jonathan and Hannah (Coley) Beebe were the parents of Jonathan, David, Samuel, Daniel, Ebenezer, Hannah, Rachel, Joshua, and Elizabeth.
  2. ) Lucius Beebe, etc.; page 49, 50: Samuel, son of Jonathan is the next forebear in the family tree. Samuel Beebe was born in East Haddam, Connecticut in 1725, and on 19 September 1751 he married Margaret Steward and they had two children, Steward and Samuel. Around 1772 Samuel left Connecticut and headed to Wibraham, Massachusetts where he lived the remainder of his life, departing this reality on 1 October 1786. In the turmoil of the Revolutionary period, Samuel's political sympathies were with the Patriots as he with 120 other men signed the Anti-Imperalist Britain Non-consumption pledge in support of the Revolutionary Movement, and when the conflict turned violent, Samuel Beebe was prepared to fight and his service with the Massachusetts Militia is recorded on the Payroll, signed by Captain James Warrener, of the 36 men who marched from Wilbraham to Lexington. Samuel Beebe achieved the rank of Lieutenant during his service in the Revolutionary war.
