Biography
Anney was born in 1776. She is the daughter of Charles Stewart and Elizabeth Clement.
Anney Stewart (not to be confused with her older sister Nancy "Ann" Stewart Hackney) is mentioned in her father's Will. In his Will dated 18 June 1782, Charles Stewart named his wife, Elizabeth, his eight daughters, Mary Brown (and her daughters Lucy, Betty and Nancy Brown), Salley (Sarah) Marsh, Ailey (Ailsey) Hackney, Frankey Stewart, (Nancy) Ann Hackney, Anney Stewart, Happy Stewart, and Rachel Marsh (and her children Charles, Patty and Salley Marsh).
