He died on 4 March 1936 in Dodd City, Fannin County, Texas, United States and was buried in the Dodd City Cemetery, Dodd City, Fannin County, Texas, United States.

Death Notice

Walter G. Stewart Died in Dodd City Buried Today

Walter G. Stewart died at his home in Dodd City at 6 p.m. Wednesday after having had a stroke of paralysis Saturday night.

Funeral services are to be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Dodd City, the Rev. C. P. Sansom, officiating. Burial is to be at the Dodd City Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart was born July 27, 1877, in Dodd City, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Stewart.

His father was one of the first settlers of Dodd City, having settled there when but a young boy. Walter G. Stewart was a life-long member of the Presbyterian church and also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was reared and educated at Dodd City and had lived there all his life, making many friends by his kindly, genial disposition.

He was married January 2, 1902, to Miss Maude Self, daughter of T. J. Self, who was for a time representative from Fannin County.
