Biography

He is the son of Alexander Stewart.

Alexander's birth date is from the 1901 Canada Census. His parents were Alexander Stewart, shoemaker, b. April 1, 1802 in Cornaibeg, Isle of Tiree, d. July 27, 1872 in Cornaibeg, Isle of Tiree, and Mary Sinclair (daughter of Alexander Sinclair and Mary McNeill) b. April 5, 1809 in Balephuill, Isle of Tiree, and d. ca 1869 in Isle of Tiree. Alexander Stewart and Mary Sinclair had married on March 5, 1834 in Balephuill, Isle of Tiree, Scotland.

Alexander and Isabella were married on November 29, 1872 in Newslandsfield, Parish of Cathcart, Renfrewshire, Scotland. On January 6, 1887, Alexander and Isabella had five of their children baptized into St. John's, Belfast Church on PEI.
