John Stickley named Dorothea as a daughter in his will. Adam Funk (her husband) was listed among the heirs in the settlement.
Dorothy and Adam had at least seven children.
In 1778 John Funk, husband of Dorothea's sister Catherine was appointed guardian of Adam, Abraham, Dorothy and Elizabeth Funk, orphans of Adam Funk." (from Berry Wade’s Journal). [1]
