Benjamin was born in 1719. He was the son of Francis Stiles and Mary Johnson.[1] He graduated from Yale College in 1740 and practiced law.
In 1788 he represented Southbury as a delegate to ratify the U.S. Constitution for Connecticut.
Benjamin married his cousin Ruth, daughter of David and Phebe Judson and they had at least ten children who were born in Southbury. He died there on March 15, 1797.[2]
